Ep. 101 Heroic Deeds Done Dirt Cheap with Chief Chad DePew
Hosts and PTSI Resilience Trainers John Salerno and Samantha Horwitz talk with Chad DePew, Police Chief and founder of Heroic Deeds on @A Badge of Honor Podcast.
Heroic Deeds was formed when firefighters, police officers, custody deputies, chaplains, pastors, and behavioral health personnel gathered from two different states to dream and pray about how they could impact the lives of first responders.
While it was recognized there were many exceptional government-led wellness programs that existed. Heroic Deeds felt there was a need
for first responders to unite to approach wellness in a different manner, outside of government limitations and from a local grassroots perspective, and to include faith as part of healing.
Chad has been a police officer since 2001 and is currently the Chief of Police for a hospital system in Southwest Ohio. Prior to moving to his current agency in 2018, Chad was the Chief of Police for the Eaton Police Division in Ohio for 8 years. In addition to being a police officer, Chad has also served as patrol sergeant and a canine officer. Find out more about Heroic Deeds by visiting https://www.heroicdeeds.org/
